This policy describes what happens to information when you use Seek-Chat (seek-chat.com). The site is operated by Thinkly for Digital Business (thinkly.business), which is the controller of the limited personal data described below. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past — it is short because there genuinely is not much to say.

1. There is no account

Seek-Chat does not have user accounts. We do not ask for your name, your email address, or a password, and there is no sign-up step to skip. We do not create an account for you, we build no profile of your conversations, and we do not link anything you type in the chat to an identity. That is the single most important fact in this policy, and it is about the chat. Two things do persist across a visit, and it would be wrong to imply otherwise. Ordinary web server logs record an IP address and a timestamp for each request, as any web server does. And Google Analytics sets a first-party identifier in your browser that lets it tell a returning browser from a new one, so that traffic can be counted. Neither is tied to your chat content, and neither gives us a name, an email address or an account — but both distinguish one browser from another, and that is not the same as anonymity.

2. What happens to your prompt

When you send a message, this is the full path it takes:

1. Your browser sends the message, plus the recent messages of the current conversation (up to the last 20 messages, so the model has context — a question and its reply are two messages), to our server at seek-chat.com over an encrypted connection.
2. Our server checks the request against the fair-use limits described in section 5, then forwards the text to DeepSeek’s API using our own API credentials — never yours.
3. DeepSeek generates a reply and returns it. Our server streams that reply straight back to your browser as it arrives.
4. The exchange ends. We do not write the prompt or the reply to a database, and we do not keep a permanent server-side transcript of ordinary browser chats.

Text is held in server memory only for as long as it takes to complete the request. Standard web server logs may briefly record that a request occurred, along with an IP address and timestamp, as any web server does; these are operational logs, not conversation logs.

3. DeepSeek receives your prompt

This is the part people most often miss, so we will be blunt about it: the text you type is sent to DeepSeek, a third party we do not control. Once it reaches DeepSeek’s API it is governed by DeepSeek’s own privacy terms and data practices, not by this policy. We cannot tell you how long DeepSeek retains API traffic, where it is processed, or whether it is used for any further purpose. We have no ability to delete anything on DeepSeek’s side.

The practical rule: treat anything you type here as leaving your control. Do not paste passwords, API keys, bank or card details, government identifiers, medical records, client confidential material, or anything else you would not want a third-party service to receive.

4. Your chat history is not saved in your browser or by us

On your side and ours, the conversation exists only in the page you have open. It is held in the browser tab’s memory while you are using it and is discarded the moment you close the tab, reload the page, or navigate away. It is not written to your browser’s local storage, not written to a cookie, and not written to our database. The one thing this site does put in local storage is your light-or-dark theme preference, under the key sc-theme, and nothing else. There is no copy on your device to clear and no copy on our server to request. This section is about our storage and yours; what DeepSeek retains after receiving your prompt is covered in section 3 and is outside our control.

Two consequences follow. There is no history here to pick up later, on this device or any other — reloading the page starts an empty conversation. And on a shared or public computer, nothing of the conversation is left behind on the machine once the tab is closed.

5. Fair-use limits

The chat is limited to 5 messages a minute, 30 an hour and 100 a day. Enforcing that requires counting requests, so our server keeps short-lived counters keyed to a salted, one-way hash of your IP address. The counters hold a number and an expiry time and nothing else: no prompt text, and no address we could read back. They are deleted automatically when their window ends.

6. Cookies, analytics and advertising

Seek-Chat itself sets no cookies for ordinary visitors. WordPress sets a session cookie only for someone signing in to the administration area, which is not something a visitor does. The only thing this site keeps in your browser is your light-or-dark theme choice, in local storage. Google’s advertising and analytics, described below, set cookies of their own.

Google Analytics is running now. It went live on this site on September 7, 2026 and is active on every page. The analytics part of this section describes what is happening today, in the present tense.

Display advertising is not running yet. No advertisement is served on any page and no advertising cookie is set. The advertising part of this section is written so that it is accurate both before and after the units go live.

Advertising

Seek-Chat is monetized by display advertising served by Google. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to select, serve and measure those advertisements. Advertising may be personalized, which means it can be based on your prior visits to this site and to other sites.

Third-party advertising vendors set their own cookies, under their own names and for their own durations. We do not control those cookies, and we do not receive or store the personal data those vendors collect. The authoritative description of how Google uses information from sites that use its advertising is Google’s own advertising technologies page, rather than any summary of it here.

You can turn off personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and manage cookies from a wider list of third-party vendors at www.aboutads.info. Turning off personalization does not remove advertising; it makes it less specific to you.

Analytics

Seek-Chat uses Google Analytics to measure traffic and understand how pages are used. At a general level it collects the pages you view, an approximate location derived from your IP address, your device and browser, the referral source that brought you here, and interaction events such as scrolling or following a link. We use it to see which pages are read and which are not. It is not used to identify you personally, and what you type into the chat is never sent to it. It sets first-party cookies on seek-chat.com — named _ga and _ga_<property> — which carry the identifier that distinguishes a returning browser.

Google processes this data as described in how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Retention of the collected data follows the retention setting configured in the Analytics property; we do not keep a separate copy of it. The controls that actually work are set out in the cookie policy: Google’s official opt-out browser add-on, a content blocker that stops the tag loading, and clearing site data, which resets the identifier rather than stopping collection.

Advertising and analytics never see your conversation

This is the part worth being exact about. Advertising and analytics on this site are about page visits — which pages were opened, from where, on what kind of device. What you type into the chat is not passed to Google, to Google Analytics, or to any advertising vendor. Your messages go to DeepSeek’s API to generate a reply, as described in sections 2 and 3, and nowhere else. There is no advertising profile built from your prompts, because your prompts never reach the systems that would build one.

Cloudflare

This site is served through Cloudflare, which sits in front of our server as a content delivery network and security layer. Every request reaches Cloudflare before it reaches us, so Cloudflare necessarily processes connection data — your IP address, your user agent, and request metadata such as the URL requested and the time — in order to route the request, cache what can be cached, and filter malicious traffic. This happens on every page view whether or not any script runs, and it is not something you can opt out of while still reaching the site.

Cloudflare can also inject scripts at its edge that are not in the page our server sends. On this site one such script is active: an email-address obfuscation script, served from /cdn-cgi/scripts/ on this domain, which appears on pages that contain an email address and exists to make that address harder for spam harvesters to read. Cloudflare additionally offers a performance-measurement beacon, loaded from static.cloudflareinsights.com. That feature is turned off for this site, so the script is not served to visitors. Cloudflare documents that beacon as storing nothing in the browser: it uses no cookie, no local storage and no session storage, and reports timing measurements taken from the browser’s own performance API.

Consent

Seek-Chat does not operate a consent banner. Nothing on this site asks your permission before advertising or analytics cookies are set, and there is no setting here that switches them off. Google Analytics loads for every visitor today, wherever they are, including visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland. Advertising will behave the same way once it goes live. The controls that do exist are the Google and vendor opt-outs linked above, and your own browser’s cookie and storage settings. If a consent mechanism is added, this section will name it and say what it does. The cookie policy lists each category of cookie and whether it is strictly necessary.

7. Children

Seek-Chat is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because there are no accounts, we have no reliable way to verify anyone’s age. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted personal information through the chat should write to [email protected].

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal data held about you. Write to [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.

We will be straightforward about the limits of what such a request can achieve here. In most cases we hold nothing that identifies you, so there is nothing to hand over or erase. Your conversation was never stored, by you or by us, so there is nothing to retrieve. Anything DeepSeek retains is outside our reach, and a request to us cannot reach it.

9. Security

Traffic to and from the site is encrypted in transit with HTTPS. Our DeepSeek API credentials are held server-side and are never exposed to your browser. No service is perfectly secure, and we make no guarantee that transmission over the internet cannot be intercepted. Given that, the advice in section 3 stands: do not send anything sensitive.

10. Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the effective date at the top of the page. Continuing to use Seek-Chat after that date means you accept the revised policy.
