Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Seek-Chat at seek-chat.com. The service is provided by Thinkly for Digital Business (thinkly.business), referred to below as “we” or “us”. Thinkly for Digital Business is the contracting party under these terms. Using the chat means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use it.

1. What the service is

Seek-Chat is a free, browser-based interface to DeepSeek’s public API. You type a message, we forward it to DeepSeek, and we show you the reply. There is no account, no subscription and no payment.

We are an independent operator and a paying customer of that API. We are not DeepSeek, not affiliated with DeepSeek, and not authorized to act for DeepSeek in any capacity. Nothing here is an official DeepSeek product or an official DeepSeek support channel.

2. Fair use limits

Because the service is free and the underlying API is not, usage is capped at 5 messages per minute, 30 per hour and 100 per day per user. Exceeding a limit produces a wait message rather than an error, and the allowance resets on its own.

These figures are a current operational setting, not a contractual entitlement. We may change them, and we may restrict or block access entirely, without notice, where that is necessary to keep the service running for everyone.

3. How you may not use it

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools, scripts or scrapers against the chat, or otherwise attempt to work around the rate limits.
  • Resell access, wrap the service in your own product, or present its output as your own commercial AI service.
  • Generate content that is unlawful, that harasses or defames a person, that sexualizes a minor, or that infringes someone’s rights.
  • Attempt to extract our API credentials, probe the site for vulnerabilities, or interfere with its operation.
  • Submit other people’s personal data without a proper basis for doing so.
  • Use the service in a way that breaches DeepSeek’s own acceptable use rules for its models, which apply to this traffic as much as to any other.

4. What you type, and what comes back

You keep whatever rights you have in the text you submit. You grant us only what is technically necessary to run the service: permission to transmit your message to DeepSeek and to return the reply to you. We do not claim ownership of your prompts and we do not use them to train models.

We make no ownership claim over the output either, and we do not warrant that any given output is original, accurate, or free of third-party rights. Whether AI-generated text can be owned or copyrighted varies between jurisdictions and is unsettled in many of them. If you intend to publish or commercialize something the model produced, check it and satisfy yourself about the position where you are. You are responsible for what you do with it.

Be aware that your prompt is sent to a third party. Section 3 of the privacy policy explains the consequences; the short version is that you should not submit confidential material.

5. Accuracy

Language models produce plausible text, not verified fact. Seek-Chat can be wrong, can invent citations, sources, quotations, statistics, legal provisions and function names, and can be wrong with complete confidence. It has no live web access, cannot open a link you paste, and has no knowledge of recent events.

6. Availability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no uptime commitment. It depends on DeepSeek’s API, and when that is degraded or unavailable, so are we. We may change, suspend or discontinue Seek-Chat at any time, in whole or in part, without notice and without liability. There is no paid tier and therefore no service level to fall back on.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Seek-Chat is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss arising from your use of Seek-Chat, including lost profits, lost data, lost conversation history, or any decision taken in reliance on model output. Because the service is free, our total aggregate liability to you is limited to nil.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusions above; where that is so, they apply only to the extent permitted.

8. Third-party names

“DeepSeek” and related names, logos and model names are the property of their respective owners. They are used here descriptively, to identify the API this tool connects to. Their use does not imply any endorsement of, or association with, Seek-Chat.

9. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The effective date at the top of the page shows when the current version took effect, and continued use after that date is acceptance of it.
